Yamaha Button Secondary Clutch – Y Series

The "R" (radius) series helixes for Yamaha from Dalton features a short duration initial angle, radiuses into what is mostly a straight angle helix (second angle). This style of cut is a favourite of some clutch tuning professionals and is quite effective at controlling initial over-rev while still maintaining the characteristics of a straight helix.

All Dalton helixes for this clutch use the “Y” designation. A single number indicates a straight angle; multiple numbers identify the curve from the start angle to the finish angle, e.g. (Y-50 / 40).
