SV1: Top Racing variators are made of special injected aluminum. After machining, a chemical nickel treatment is done to improve the surface hardness. This treatment will provide a higher resistance to wear, increasing its lifetime. An oil retaining bronze bearing (40% oil) is assembled in the variator’s hole, to eliminate the possibility of the bronze bearing and variator pin sticking. SV1 variators are delivered with 3 roller kits (16 mm x 13 mm).

Next Generation: Has a bigger diameter to allow larger speed variation and better stability during operation. Larger diameter rollers are used for dynamic compensation. To get a better relation between the speed variator and the torque corrector, a new spring is provided. Next-gen variators are delivered with 3 roller kits (19 mm x 15.5 mm) and a variator spring.
